A ROCK & ROLL BROTHERHOOD
GAUER is the musical project of Gauer brothers Bryan and Scott.
The two have been cutting their teeth performing in their favourite venues in the greater Toronto area and are making their mark on the Canadian rock and roll scene with their debut album 'Starting to Break', recorded in Hamilton Ontario at Boxcar Sound.
Music has played a monumental role in the brothers' childhood as they discovered the music and culture of their parents generation, and both picked up their respective instruments shorty after each of their first concert experiences.
Early encouragements to pursue music often came from endless nights of requests jamming around the campfire cottaging in the Muskokas, and enjoy carving out both electric and acoustic sets that suit the mood, including some of their most meaningful covers.
Once the mounting pressure of writing songs that nobody had heard became too much, (Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist) Bryan Gauer decided it was time to begin sharing the music he had been writing since highschool with his family and friends, and began the process of building an arsenal of instruments and gear, recording demos, and playing shows with fellow musicians and friends.
Early on, brother Scott Gauer joined forces on drums, and their musical chemistry and dynamic as been growing exponentially ever since.
Heavily influenced by their classic and alternative rock heros, the GAUER brothers have set out to create a music catalog that reflects their passion and love for music, people, and good vibrations.
